5 tips to shed body fat

Many people want to decrease their body and rightfully so. Decreasing body fat can make dramatic differences in your appearances, despite whether you lose weight. There are some simple strategies you can use to drop body fat. Below are our top five!

1. Manage Your Macros

Macronutrients include protein, fat and carbohydrates. Balancing how much of these you consume helps you decrease body fat. Every person’s needs are a bit difference, but a general rule of thumb is that you should eat a significant amount of protein. Protein helps satiate you and builds muscle. 2. Incorporate HIIT Training

High Intensity Interval Training can ramp your metabolism and help you effectively burn fat. Include three HIIT sessions a week in your workout routine. Start with a warm up of 5-10 minutes and then rotate between high and low intensity intervals using whatever forms of cardio you prefer such as running, spinning, jump roping or elliptical training. It’s so easy to pack in the calories without even realizing it. A bite of this, a little of that, some of your kids leftovers, bottled drinks, a bite of desert, a glass of wine. All these things are fine in moderation but it’s important to know exactly what you are consuming. Take a look at My Fitness Pal as a way to keep track of what you eat. 4. Drink Water

Water is essential for fat loss. First, some studies show it helps you stay full and it prevents you from mistaking hunger for thirst. Second, it helps your liver effectively metabolize fat. Third, it helps muscles recover more effectively. Finally, people who drink a lot of water tend to consume less sugar-laden beverages. Here are tips on how to stay hydrated on a daily basis. 

 

5. Eat Clean

We saved the best tip for last. Losing body fat requires you to eat a clean diet. It’s not that you can’t have a treat from time to time but by and large you need to eat balanced whole foods meals and snacks. Calories are not all the same. You can’t just set a caloric goals and eat whatever comes your way. Getting proper vitamins, nutrients in is essential.
