guacamole

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 ripe medium/large sized avocados
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1 heaping tbs. of fresh chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • Juice of 1 large lemon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 whole wheat tortillas
  • Optional – 1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1 – Peel avocados.

Step 2 – Place avocados into bowl. Mash avocados. Stir in all other ingredients except tortillas.

 

Chips

Step 1 – Set oven on broil (500 Degrees).

Step 2 – Line a large baking sheet with tinfoil.

Step 3 – Place tortillas on baking sheet. Place in oven for approximately three minutes. Remove from stove and flip tortillas. Cook for another 3 minutes until golden brown. Cooking times vary. Watch tortillas cook very closely.

Step 4 – Remove tortillas from the oven. Allow them to cool for 5 minutes. Break in pieces and serve.
