Time to dust off your crock pot and make our Easy Crock Pot Turkey Chili Recipe. There is minimal prep required and zero slicing and dicing. Beyond browning the turkey, once everything is in the crock pot and the timer is set to 8 hours, you are free. You will have plenty of time to get in a quick workout, clean your house, run errands, work and come home to a home cooked meal. If you’re on the hunt for a good crock pot, make sure you buy one large enough (7 quarts is ideal) for your meals. A digital crock pot is key to keeping your home cooked meals warm after the cooking time ends. Grab the following ingredients so you can set, forget and ENJOY!
- 2 lbs lean ground turkey
- 2 jars of your favorite salsa (16 oz each)
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes
- 2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz ) corn
- 2 Tbsp. ground chili powder
- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- 2 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 tsp. dried oregano
***Optional toppings include: Greek yogurt (instead of sour creams), onions, cheese, cilantro, green chilis
1- In a saucepan, brown ground turkey. Once cooked add to the crock pot.
2- Add remaining ingredients and set crockpot on low for 8 hours.
3- Serve with optional toppings and enjoy. Chili is even better on day 2 or 3.
