No gym, no equipment, no excuses! There are all sorts of reasons we can find to skip a workout but the reality is that you can use common household items just as easy as gym equipment to get a workout in. Today we share a workout using a kitchen pot. There are many exercises you can do with a pot in the comfort of your own home. Below are four pot exercsies to help get your heart pumping and your muscles working. Complete this circuit 1-2 times or set a timer for 20 minutes and repeat until your buzzer goes off!
POT TOE TAPS:
Set Up: Start with one foot on the pot.
Action: Jump and swap feet as fast as you can tap the pot. Move around the pot for 15 seconds in one direction before returning back to start position.
POT PUSH UP:
Set Up: Place one hand on the pot and one on the ground, shoulder width apart.
Action: Flex your elbows and lower your torso to the ground. Do not allow your hips to rise or to sag. Raise back to starting position and change hand that is placed on the pot for a pushup. Continue to alternate push-ups until you have completed 5 on each side, 10 total.
Set Up: Start in a wide squat, feet straight and two hands on the pot handles.
Action: In one fluid motion stand up, twist to the right and press the pot overhead as you pivot your left foot. Return to starting posting and repeat on other side. Complete 10 total reps.
AB TWIST WITH POT REACH:
Set Up: Sit on the ground with your knees bent, heels a few feet from your butt. Lean back keeping pot close to your chest.
Action: Twist slowly to the left, then as you come back to center reach the pot in the air for “press”, and lower before twisting to the right. Return back to center for a press before repeating 10 total reps.
